About Shari Montgomery:
Shari Montgomery is a visionary and a leader in the fight against human sex trafficking. As the founder of The House of Promise and the former owner of the Pollack Glass Company, Shari has transformed her vision into a robust plan dedicated to supporting survivors of human sex trafficking. Her unwavering commitment has led to the creation of a non-profit organization that not only raises awareness about this critical issue but also plays a pivotal role in restoring the quality of life for young women and girls exiting the system.
Starting from a mere idea, Shari's leadership has nurtured The House of Promise into an established entity, known for its community outreach and engagement efforts. This journey to success was made possible by the support of compassionate individuals and organizations who joined the fight against human sex trafficking.
Beyond her work with The House of Promise, Shari has been an active participant in CASA of Ingham County, advocating for abused and neglected children in the courtroom. Her journey through the system saw her gaining expertise in advocacy, contributing as a board member, and eventually serving as the Interim Director. Today, Shari continues her mission to amplify the voices of the silenced, providing a beacon of hope and a place of healing for sexually abused and trafficked women through The House of Promise—a live-in home dedicated to their recovery and restoration.
